“Now I want you to raise your hand if music has ever saved your life.” -Vic Fuentes of Pierce The Veil. November 14,2012. Nearly every person raised their hands.
I was crying so hard during this part, wow.
^ me too
I remember when I saw them in Manchester and he asked this question, everyone in the crowd raised their hand including Jaime, Tony and Mike, Vic even raised his hand, one of the security guards did as well and it was an amazingly beautiful moment!
At Spring Fever in Monmouth, New Jersey, Jack Barakat was watching from the side and raised his hand so high after hearing Vic ask this question
At soundwave earlier this year Vic asked the question and oh my gosh everyone had at least one hand raised and it was so beautiful to see as all the boys raised their hands too. I was sobbing because it was what home felt like.
Dear 5SOS family,
There will unfortunately come a time where we stop using our tumblr, twitter and facebook accounts dedicated to five seconds of summer. We might stop using them because the fandom grows apart, it might be because the boys break up or it might just be that we all eventually grow up. When that time comes, we’ll deactivate the accounts, tear down the posters and hide away all the merchandise we’ve bought over the years. A few years later, YOU’RE MARRIED! and you have beautiful kids. You may hear their first single played on the radio on the way home from work one day. Tears start to fall down your cheeks as it all comes pouring back. The tours, the interviews, the laughs, the cries, the memories. You’ll think about those four boys who changed your life. The only boys who could make you feel beautiful, like you were worth something more. You’ll think about all those amazing friends you made through the boys and wonder why you never kept in contact. You’ll go home and pull out all some old boxes. You’ll find them; the posters, the cds, the shirts, the merchandise. You might show them to your little girl all the amazing stuff mummy bought when she was a kid. You’ll tell her about the boys and how funny and idiotic they were. You’ll tell her little ears about how they helped mummy through a lot. She’ll gently take the cd out of your hands and when she comes back, it starts to play. You grab her hands and dance around the room with her like you did 5, maybe 10, years ago. She looks at you and says, “Mummy, I like this song” You smile lightly and you’ll answer “This was my favourite” You’ll realize how lucky you were to be apart of that journey with 5sos; to be apart of that fandom who meant the entire world to you all those years ago. You go and check up on the boys, who are now grown men. It’s been a while since you took any notice. They’re all married now with beautiful children. You realize how much you wished that were your back when you were younger. You start to look through your old accounts. You see friends who haven’t been online in years. Tears fill your eyes, why didn’t you stay in touch with those incredible people? You’ll remember every single detail of those 4 boys and cannot help but be proud of them for living their dreams. You’ll think about fans all over the world feeling the same thing as you are. Keep this in mind,
Fandoms never really die out,
We never really move on
and we never ever forget.
I think that’s the most beautiful thing I’ve ever read
you all do realize that 5sos’ fame hasn’t even hit its all time high and we are already talking about the fandom breaking apart.
yo i made this ages ago and i didn’t say it was ever going to break it’s an imagine like one shot thing omg
It is the year 2046. The time has come for the annual Blog Inspection. Armed android wardens begin to arrive at the homes of the country’s prisoners who were once called citizens. A warden knocks on a ramshackle door. It is answered by an old man, bedraggled, starving, weary. The robotic guard’s abdominal display screen flickers to life with the image of a popular post on tumblr. “This has to be on everyone’s blog at least once,” intones the android. Fear enters the man’s eyes. He has not reblogged this post. He shrieks and, with one fell motion, blasts a hole into the android’s head with his laser magnum. Everyone in the neighborhood watches on in horror as the man, calling for liberation, is tackled by dozens of androids. His screams die with the buzz of plasma spears. There is no freedom. This has to be on everyone’s blog at least once. Everyone’s.
